The matches, initially scheduled to take place from Monday, July 29th to Saturday, August 3rd, 2024, have been deferred due to the prevailing situation in the country and within Lagos State.

The decision comes in the wake of nationwide protests that have recently escalated, producing the first casualty. The unrest has significantly impacted the social and security environment in several regions,

including Lagos State, prompting the DFA to prioritize the safety and well-being of players, officials, and fans.

In a statement issued by Alaba Olaniyi on behalf of the Ikeja DFA, the decision to postpone was made in light of these developments. “The league shall continue next week with matches of the Week 11 fixtures as scheduled,” Olaniyi confirmed.

The DFA assures clubs and fans that the postponed Week 10 matches will be rescheduled in due course. They expressed regret for any inconvenience this postponement may have caused to the participating clubs and the supporters who eagerly anticipate the games.

The DFA appreciates the understanding and patience of all stakeholders during this period and looks forward to resuming the thrilling action of the Ikeja DFA Super League with the Week 11 fixtures next week.
