Halimat who was missing in action at the Paris 2024 Olympics due an injury she sustained a few days to the competition took to her twitter handle on Wednesday morning and asked the Super Falcons to forget that disappointment of losing two back to back games, keep their head up and achieve greatness in the win or bust match.

Halimat Ayind opens her message by calling on Nigerians to stop bad mouthing the team instead , they should rally behind the team and support them all the way

” Stop the bad mouthing and give the super falcons all the support they need today. One love, Let’s give everything today mates, she wrote.

The midfielder then used the follow up thread to encourage the Super Falcons and admonished the team.

She posted : ” I know we’re all feeling disappointed right now, but I want you all to know that we’re in this together, We’ve worked hard and achieved so much. This setback doesn’t define us. Let’s pick ourselves up and keep pushing forward. We’re stronger together and I believe in each of you. Let’s keep our heads up and press on for greatness. @NGSuper_Falcons”.

The task before the Super Falcons

The Super Falcons fired blanks in two straight 1-0 losses to Brazil and Spain respectively, this makes it a must win for Super Falcons against Japan.

They must do better than the 1-0 victory recorded over the Japanese 20 years at the Athens 2004 Olympics for them to stand a chance of qualifying into that next quarter finals, just like they did in 2004.

The crunchy match is slated for this 4 pm in Marseile tonight.
