Kano State Govern Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has declared opened the 2nd edition of the military and paramilitary games organized by the Kano State Sports Commission at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata on Sunday.
The governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, represented by the Chief of Staff Government House, Alhaji Shehu Wada Sagagi, said Kano state government is keen in developing sports activities in the state because of its contribution to the economy, health, and wellbeing of young people.
The idea behind creating the competition was to promote mutual understanding between security agencies so as to promote peace and unity among them.
The Nigerian Air Force football team spirit moved higher after a renounce at the second half of the match to equalize. the team continues its dominance, and defeated KAROTA by 2-1.
The games will feature over 675 athletes, both males and females from the military and paramilitary, who will participate in different games such as athletics, badminton, basketball, football, and golf.
The rest are Judo, karate, table tennis, tennis and volleyball at different Venues.
