The Uvwie Football Council, led by Chairman Victor Odairi, extends warm congratulations to the newly elected Uvwie Local Government Chairman, Honourable Anthony Ofoni.
As the former General Manager of Delta Stars Football Club, Odairi urged the chairman and his councillors to hit the ground running, leveraging their understanding of the local community to maximize the benefits of their newfound autonomy and financial independence.
Odairi, an ex-professional footballer, emphasized the importance of harnessing sports to address youth restiveness and drive development in the local government.
He advised Chief Ofoni to prioritize sports development, creating opportunities for job creation and grassroots growth.
