The Management of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), has expressed deep shock over the demise of a member of the House of Representatives, Honourable Ekene Adams.
Honourable Ekene, who until his death was the Chairman, House Committee on Sports, died in the early hours of Tuesday.
Reacting to the demise of the football administrator, the Executive Chairman of 3SC, Honourable Babatunde Olaniyan Akoro, described the sudden departure of the football administrator as heartbreaking.
“The Shooting Stars’ family received with shock and deep sorrow, the death of Honourable Adams Ekene.
“His death is a big loss to the football fraternity, going by his contributions to the development of the round leather game in general and the round leather game in particular.
“There is no hiding the fact that he will be sorely missed by all, particularly his immediate family, his constituency, and the entire Sporting world.
“We take solace in the fact that the late Ekene lived well, making positive impacts in the lives of many.
“It is our prayer that God will grant him eternal rest and as well give his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss”, said the 3SC boss.
