CAF Super Cup Final 2024 to be Held in Riyadh

The President of the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF), Dr. Patrice Motsepe, and His Excellency Turki bin Abdulmohsen Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), have officially announced that Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will host the TotalEnergies CAF Super Cup Final 2024.

This highly anticipated match will feature the winners of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League, Al Ahly SC, and the winners of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup, Zamalek SC.

The match is scheduled to take place on Friday, September 27, 2024. CAF will disclose details regarding the venue and the kick-off time shortly.

CAF President Dr Motsepe noted the strong partnership and mutual commitment between CAF and Saudi Arabia, expressing excitement about collaborating with the General Entertainment Authority.

He pointed out the significance of the match, stating:
“The partnership between CAF and Saudi Arabia is based on the excellent relationship and mutual commitment of both the parties.

CAF is excited to work together and partner with the General Entertainment Authority. We look forward to the TotalEnergies CAF Super Cup Final 2024 between two of the most popular and successful Clubs in Africa, namely Al Ahly and Zamalek.”

HE Turki Alalshikh also expressed his enthusiasm for hosting the event during Riyadh Season, a period known for attracting significant international sporting events. He remarked:

“We are delighted to host the African Super Cup at Riyadh Season, which represents one of the most important tournaments on the African continent.

This event features two football giants from our sister country, the Arab Republic of Egypt: Al-Ahly and Zamalek. We all look forward to a competitive match that lives up to its promises.”

The TotalEnergies CAF Super Cup Final 2024 is expected to be a highlight of Riyadh Season 2024, continuing the tradition of hosting major sporting events that draw international attention.
