GTI Distributes Prize Monies To Rangers, El-Kanemi, Rivers Angels And Others

GTI Asset Management and Trust Limited, strategic partners to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) and Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for the President Federation Cup (PFC), confirmed the distribution of prize monies to winners and awardees on July 9, 2024.

Rangers International FC of Enugu received N150 million for clinching the 2023/2024 NPFL season title. The announcement was made by GTI Head of Media Publicity, Andrew Ekejiuba, in Lagos. In the men’s PFC, El-Kanemi Warriors FC took home N50 million as winners, while runners-up Abia Warriors FC received N20 million.

In the women’s PFC, Rivers Angels FC secured N25 million for their victory, and Naija Ratels FC of Abuja, the runners-up, were awarded N10 million. Additionally, individual awardees in both men’s and women’s categories, including the Highest Goal Scorer, Most Valuable Player, and Best Goalkeeper, each received N1 million.

Club officials and individuals praised GTI, NPFL, and NFF for the timely disbursement of the prize monies. Amobi Ezeaku, GM/CEO of Enugu Rangers, expressed gratitude, stating that the funds would help the team prepare for continental competitions next season. “We appreciate the NFF, NPFL, and GTI Group for their financial commitment. Receiving our prize money promptly allows us to plan for next season effectively. This marks a new era in our elite league,” he said.

Enugu Rangers’ coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu, also commended GTI Group’s efforts in restructuring the NPFL, highlighting the team’s active participation in the transfer market to strengthen their squad for next season’s continental engagements.

Allison Ene James, Chairman of Naija Ratels FC, runners-up in the PFC Women’s category, lauded the NFF for a well-organized competition and praised GTI’s dedication to enhancing Nigeria’s football ecosystem.

The prompt distribution of prize monies underscores GTI’s commitment to supporting Nigerian football, ensuring financial integrity, and fostering growth in the sport.
