The Organiser head stated that top-notch referees would be used for the tournament and biased officiating would not be tolerated
“We won’t use quack referees, we will use standard and qualified referees. We don’t have interest in any of the team. We expect the officiating officials to be fair and just in their assessment of matches.
Last season, we had very few teams. The turnup this year is massive and the first two minutes of opening the portal for registration, we already have 32 teams complete, so we couldn’t extend because we have to play all the matches in four weeks and we wouldn’t want to compromise our standard. It’s going to be a very competitive competition
The CIROMA CUP is in its second edition, as previous editions have seen SGFC ATHLETIC and GAA AKANBI FC crowned champions
