With no definite date yet for the resumption of the Nigeria National League (NNL), Group B1 table toppers, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan’ s preparations continue unabated.
The management of the Ibadan soccer lords, not ready to give room to any lapses in the shape of the players, has decided to intensify prepararions ahead of the league resumption, by putting in place high grade friendlies.
In view of this, the Oluyole Warriors, will storm Akure, the capital of Ondo state this Thursday for two friendly matches.
According to the arrangement, 3SC will battle Rising Stars of Akure on Thursday afternoon, while the team will confront Akure City the following morning.
Both the General Manager of the Oluyole Warriors, Rasheed Balogun and the Team Manager, Dimeji Lawal, said the essence of playing those games, was to put the players in good shape ahead of the resumption of the NNL.
“We should not lose steam before the league resumes. The boys must maintain their good form because the league could resume at anytime”, said the 3SC boss.
Addressing the players after Tuesday’s training session, the club’s team manager, Dimeji Lawal, coroborated the words of the General Manager, stressing the importance of the friendly matches being organised for the team.
