The management of the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan and members of the team’s Supporters Club , on Thursday, paid a condolence visit to the Apata residence of the former chairman of the club, Elder Bode Oyewole who died on Tuesday.
Led by the club’s Director of Administration, Mr Raheem Olapade, the delegation which included the Team Manager of 3SC, Dimeji Lawal and the club’s Chief Coach, Edith Agoye, was received by the widow of the deceased, his children and other relatives.
Mr Olapade delivered the condolence message of the club’s General Manager, Rasheed Balogun and the entire 3SC staff, while the chairman, Oyo State General Sports Supporters Club, Mr Femi Oyeniyi,who led other members of the Supporters Club on the visit, spoke on behalf of the entire 3SC Supporters Club.
Meanwhile, a condolence register has been opened at the Jericho G.R.A office of the Oluyole Warriors where guests have been paying tributes to the two time chairman of the Ibadan soccer lords.
The remains of Elder Oyewole, a former chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State chapter, is expected to be committed to mother earth on Friday, to be preceded by lying in state at the Iyaganku Secretariat of the Oyo State NUJ.
