General Manager of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Rasheed Balogun, is optimistic his side will not miss promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) this term.
Addressing the management, staff and students of the Ibadan City Polytechnic (ICP), who hosted the team on Tuesday, Balogun said the Oluyole Warriors were fully prepared to reward the ICP and the entire 3SC fans with the promotion ticket for their efforts.
He specifically praised the ICP managenent and the students for the support they always give the team, saying it has served as morale booster to the team on number of ocassions.
” I can’t explain how great we have benefitted from your support in the past. I remember a particular game we had and result was not forthcoming, I looked at where these students usually sit and I said in my mind, is this what we will use to pay back these boys and girls?
“That is is always my thought when I see them around and when I listen to their vociferous support. I want to assure you that, this season, we are gping to reward you with the promotion ticket back to the premier league”, the 3SC helms man stated.
He rounded off his address by counselling the students to be focused, urging them not to be mindful of what their parents go through in order to ensure they succeed in life.
