Members of the popular Stadium Assembly, Gbonri Republic met yesterday, to discuss the past, present, and also analysed the future of Kwara Sports, in a meeting that was well attended.
Led by the Deputy Senate President, Alhaji AbdulRazaq Adebayo Owolabi Wopa Agbaji, who supervised proceedings in the absence of the Senate President, Clement Kumbi Titiloye, the Republic also prayed for the Convener, Alhaji Mohammed Haruna Ilerika Maigidansama, members and Kwara as a whole.
The meeting, observe under strict Covid-19 protocols was more or less, the revival of the Republic, following a long term recess.
The meeting prayed for Kwara Governor, and his government’s efforts in the development of sports in the state, notably securing the Premier League slot for Kwara United FC, renovation of the Baseball Park, support to the completion and commissioning of the new Football House in Ilorin and resuscitation of the State Sports Festival amongst others.
Members called for the full resuscitation of the Assembly, which impacted positively on person’s and group’s development when in place.
They also sought for all round support for the Assembly.
