36 Lion FC Founder, Gafar Salutes Tinubu at 71

Founder/Adviser of 36 Lion Football Club of Lagos, Gafar Olawale Liameed has extolled the exceptional personality of the President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he celebrates his 71st birthday in thanksgiving, sober reflection and prayers.

Gafar, stated in the congratulatory message that it was confident that Tinubu, former two-term governor of Lagos State, would lead Nigeria to her Promise Land.

Tinubu, a foremost politician and financial expert, has been described by many as a man of uncommon courage and tenacity who never looked back in his struggle to sustain and uphold democracy across the length and breadth of Nigeria. He has battled the challenges of difficult youth with courage which could only be attributable to the ‘lion-hearted.’

“I pray that Almighty God will continue to grant Asiwaju the good health needed to pilot the affairs of this nation to greater heights as the 16th president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

It will be recalled that before the election, 36 Lions and Diamond Sports put together a football tournament tagged ‘Jagaban Cup’ to galvanize support for the 2023 Presidential Election of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and also to help discover talents from the grassroots with top European scouts from Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Norway, and Spain were on ground for the tourney.

Born on March 29, 1952, Tinubu, the president-elect, is an accountant and politician.

He served for two terms as governor of Lagos State from 1999 to 2007. Prior to that, he was senator, representing Lagos West during the brief Third Republic.
