2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifier: Osimhen, Five Others Players Arrive Super Eagles Camp Ahead of Rwanda Clash

The Super Eagles camp is gradually taking shape as Victor Osimhen and five other players have now reported for duty ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda, Sports247 reports.

The six players now joined coach Eric Chelle, who led the advance team to Kigali on Saturday as more players are expected today to begin full preparation ahead of the crucial clash billed for this week.

The players currently in camp are

– Amas Obasogie

– Tolu Arokodare

– Kayode Bankole

– Victor Osimhen

– Bruno Onyemaechi

– Papa Daniel

The Super Eagles are gearing up to face Rwanda in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, and the arrival of these six players marks a significant step in the team’s preparations.

The Super Eagles, are currently fifth in Group C with just three points from four matches which makes this encounter a must win for the team.

Rwanda, on the other hand, is leading the group with seven points, alongside South Africa and Benin.

The Amavubi will be high in confidence to consolidate their position on the log as they recently recorded a 2-1 win over the Super Eagles in the 2025 AFCON qualifier in 2024, the last outing of the Super Eagles.

Coach Eric Chelle, who is taking charge of the Super Eagles for the first time since he was appointed is expected to bring spark and return life to the The Super Eagles’ FIFA 2026 World qualifying campaign which has been underwhelming so far, with draws against Lesotho, Zimbabwe, and South Africa.
