2024 NBBF/Zenith Bank Women’s Basketball League Tips Off In September

The 2024 NBBF/Zenith Bank Women’s Premier Basketball League is gearing up for an exciting season, with top teams across Nigeria ready to compete for the championship.

This year’s league is set to commence on September 1, 2024, with the Savannah and Atlantic Conferences each hosting Phase One of their games in Lafia, Nasarawa, and Asaba, Delta State, respectively.

Savannah Conference: Battle Begins in Lafia

The Savannah Conference Phase One will take place from September 1 to 7 at Lafia City Hall in Lafia, Nasarawa State. Teams in this conference will be looking to make a strong start as they compete in the opening phase of the tournament. The second phase will shift to the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium in Abuja, from September 22 to 28, where the competition is expected to intensify as teams vie for a place in the National Finals.

Atlantic Conference: High Stakes in Asaba and Akure

Simultaneously, the Atlantic Conference Phase One will also be held from September 1 to 7, but at the Indoor Sports Hall of Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, Delta State. The teams will then proceed to Phase Two in Akure, Ondo State, from September 22 to 28, at the Akure Indoor Sports Hall. Both phases are expected to deliver high-stakes games, as the best teams from each phase will advance to the National Finals.

National Finals in Lagos

The culmination of this year’s competition will be the National Finals, set to take place from October 13 to 19, 2024, at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium in Lagos.

The top teams from both the Savannah and Atlantic Conferences will battle it out in this Final 8 showdown, where the ultimate winner of the 2024 NBBF/Zenith Bank Women’s Premier Basketball League will be crowned.

The league promises to showcase the best of Nigerian women’s basketball, with fans eagerly anticipating thrilling games and outstanding performances from the nation’s top female athletes.
