2024 Island All Stars Sports Club Providus Bank Achievers Cup Kick Off In Style

The 2024 Island All Stars Providus Bank Achievers Cup kicked off in style on Saturday, October 19 at the football pitch of the Lagos Business School, Lekki/Ajah, Sports247 reports.

Football lovers, family, friends and supporters of the prestigious football and social club thronged the venue in their numbers to witness the first matchday of the competition.

The day was dignified by the presence of dignitaries from works of life, notable among them was the President of the Island All Stars club, Ikenna Maduagu, the special guest of honour for the opening day, Honorable Ogundare John Campos the chairman of the Eti Osa Lagos East and Mojeed Adegbindin, President All Stars International, Lagos.

In the first match of the day, Team Candl and Team Kendoriz, made up of players within the members of the club only played a barren draw.

It was a flying start for the Team Prossy on the opening day after the team defeated Team T- Gold 3-0.

Agada had a great game and scored the first goal of this year’s competition. He opened the goals’ flood gate for Team Prossy in the 40th minute, at the stroke of the half time to set the ball rolling.

Team Prossy are sitting comfortably on the top of the log with 3 points and 3 goals while , Team Kendoriz and Team Candl shared the second spot on the log with two points and zero goal difference while Team T-Gold are seated on the bottom of the log.

There is more drama, excitement, twists and turns to come as there are more five match days to go.

The next round of matches will take place on the Saturday, 2 November 2024 as Team Prossy takes on Team Candl at 9 am while Team Kendoriz will battle Team T- Gold immediately after the first match of the day.

The competition will come to a glorious end on Saturday 14 December 2024 with the grand finale and closing ceremony.
