Agada Izuchukwu was the cynosure of all eyes on Saturday ( 19 October 2024) as the diminutive skill workshop made history as the first player to score in the 2024 Island All Stars Providus Bank Achievers Cup as it begins in Lagos, Sports247 reports.
Agada playing for Team Prossy on Saturday against Team Team T-Gold in the second match of the day, at the main bowl of the Lagos Business School scored the first goal of this year’s edition in the 40th minute to break the deadlock just before half time as Team Prossy led 1-0 at the break.

Agada propelled his team with skills further in the second half, as Team T-Gold struggled to cope with Agada’s deft touches and passes in the midfield as team T-Gold defence line was ripped open in the second half to concede two goals from the boots of Ibe and Pastor Dozie.
In the post match interview, Agada expressed his happiness over his performance and attributed his high level performance to good preparations.
“I feel good, I’m so happy and so glad.” Agada told Sports247.
Sharing his secrets for his superb performance, Agada said: ” it’s good to prepare. I prepared very well for the match, and I believe my preparation did not fail me. when I scored the goal, I was so glad and so happy. All glory thanks to God”.
Agada’s Team Prossy is on the table with three goals and three points, the only team that was able to win their game of the opening day of the 2024 Island All Stars Providus Bank Achievers Cup as Team Kendoriz played goalless draw against Team Candl.
Agada says the success of the Team Prossy is due to the unity and purpose of the team, as the team won’t relent and will stay focused till the end of the competition.
“Well, from the beginning of the team member, team Prossy group, from the coach down to the last player, both non player members were all in one mind, unity, and prepared well for the game.”
“In our first meeting, everything was superb. The motivation from non playing members and players playing together in the field of play, displaying understanding and cover up. I’m so glad to be a member of the team Prossy group”.
Agada says his team won’t relent as they set their eyes on winning the 2024 edition and promises to contribute his part by doing better in Team Prossy next game.
“What I know in football is don’t relent, keep on working hard. It is a competition that holds once in a year. So I hope to do more better in our next game” Agada submitted.
Team Prossy will take on Team Candl in their next game, Matchday two of the 2024 Island All Stars Providus Bank Achievers Cup.
