Super Eagles Team B won their first friendly match ahead of the 2024 CHAN qualifier against Ghana later in December, Sports247 reports.
The Super Eagles team B defeated Grass Runners FC in Ikenne on Sunday morning by 1-0 courtesy of Papa Daniel of Niger Tornadoes who came from the best to score the winning goal.
Grass Runner FC is a non league side established in 2024 ama are coached by former Sporting Lagos FC coach, Justin Offor.
The friendly match is part of the preparations for the Super Eagles team B side who will be engaging their Ghanaian counterparts on December 22 in Ghana before the return leg in Uyo a week later.
The winner of the two legged play off will qualify as one of the representative of WAFU B in the 2024 CHAN competition billed for Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda in 2025.
Coach Augustine has been grooming the best of players who are based in Nigeria and playing in the domestic league for the task ahead.
