2024 Achievers Cup: Vice President, Bonny Alinta Expect Tougher Competition, Promises Better Organisation As Second Round Resumes On Saturday

Vice President, CSP Bonny Alinta has promised a better competition as the second round of the 2024 IASC/Providus Bank Achievers Cup, Sports247 reports.

Actions will resume in the competition on Saturday, 23 November 2024 after a two week break which signalled the end of the first round.

The first round saw six highly competitive matches spread across three Matchdays with players of Team Prossy, Team T-Gold, Team Kendoriz and Team Candl gave their best to advance the lot of their teams on the log.

The turf of the Lagos Business School Lekki/Ajah has seen scintillating actions and the competition has produced atmosphere charged up with emotions mixed with excitements as matches has been won, drawn and lost in the first round.

Team PROSSY is having an early lead on the log, with 7 points, followed closely by Team T-Gold with 6 points at the top while Team Kendoriz has two points and Team CANDL managed a point after the first round.

With maximum nine points to fight for in the second half, all teams are still in the competition mathematically.

Fellers from the team’s camps shows all the four teams are determined to go all out for the 9 points at stake, a prelude to tougher second half.

In a chat with www.sports247.ng, Vice President of the club, Bonny Alintar and member of the SMC said he expects a tougher second round as teams may be desperate for points.

He however promised that the SMC is prepared and if players can put their emotions in check , the second round will be a better competition than the first round.

” No doubt, the tournament has lived up to its billing, the emotions are high, the tempo got higher as the days go by while teams also acquitted themselves with the competition.”

” As a member of the organizing committee we have had our lucks and frustrations from team members and we have done our best to ensure that we have equity and fair play, so far so good.”

” I can assure you that the next three match days will be better than the first three match days and things will improve going forward” Alintar explained.

He advised the players and managers of the teams to put their emotions in check, putting the objective of the competition first.

” The tournament’s geared at creating more bonds among our members because the players are all our members.”

” So the emotions must be contained and put in check, we cannot run away from these things all we want is good conduct from the teams and people have to behave well ,” Alinta admonished.

The first match of the second round, Matchday four will kick off by 9 am between T Gold and T- Candl while the second match of the day will see Team PROSSY square up against Team Kendoriz immediately after the conclusion of the first match.

All the matches will take place at the football pitch of the Lagos Business School, Lekki/Ajah Express Way Lagos.
