Chinedu Denco believes Team CANDL can still win the 2024IASC/Providus Bank Achievers Cup despite gaining only one point in three matches,.Sports247 reports.

Chinedu Denco, a former Nasarawa United FC player and one of the most technically gifted within the ranks of TEAM CANDL in the on going Island All Stars Sports Club Providus Bank Achievers Cup.
Despite all the hard work , Team CANDL have not been able to get their act right , they lost two back to back games, 3-0 each to Team PROSSY and Team T- Gold after their their opening day 0-0 draw to Team Kendoriz.
Their effort placed them on the bottom of the log, with six goals deficit and a massive six points gap between them the top topper, Team PROSSY after the conclusion of the first round of the 2024 IASC Providus Bank Achievers Cup.
Despite Team CANDL poor, all hope is not, according to Chinedu Denco, his has what it takes to bounce back and win all their remaining three matches and hope that results elsewhere work in their favour.
“First of all, I have to thank God for injury free. But all the same, we did our best, it was just that the competition was not going our way presently” Denco told Sports247.
He spoke further on what is wrong with the team, and opined that the technical crew needs to do better and work on the lapses notice so far especially their porous defence
He said : ” I don’t think the technical crew and management are doing their best. We need some work out some experiments on the lapses from our defenders.”
” But all the same, I believe that we can bounce back. We need to do more to win our matches remaining. If we can get 9 points from the 3 matches, plus the 1 point we have, that’s 10 points which can get us to first or second position,” Chinedu Denco expressed his optimism.
The 2024 IASC Providus Bank Achievers Cup, have seen a total of six matches with all the four participating teams have played three matches each as the first round rounded up in Lagos over the weekend.
