The battle for the ultimate title as champions of the 2024/2025 Lagos State President Federation Cup has reached the last eight and three more hurdles to the championship game.
Expectedly, the competition threw up some shocking results from the rookie stage to the rounds of 32, that saw some big guns falling on the way sides, characteristic of the oldest competition in Nigeria.
Unsurprisingly, three non-league sides as Box-To-Box FC, Nath Boys FC and Seamoriow FC, have joined the bigger boys from the NPFL and NNL, like defending champions Ikorodu City, First Bank FC, Sporting Lagos FC,1472 FC and Inter Lagos FC, in the quater-finals.
Speaking on crucial last eight matches of the competition, Lagos FA Chairman Hajji Gafar Liameed, assured that the organisation of the competition would go notches higher in terms of officiating, discipline and standard of play during the remaining matches of the competition.
In one of the fixtures of the last eight, Ikorodu City FC will play Seamoriow FC in a game termed David against Goliath.
Other games would see another non-league side Box-To-Box FC face-off with Sporting Lagos FC and First Bank FC square up against another non-league side Nath Boys FC, while NNL sides 1472 FC and Inter Lagos FC also battle for semi-finals tickets.
