2024 1X Bet Cup: 3rd Place Winning Emaljus FC Coach, Olatunji Sets Target For Next Year’s Edition

Coach Femi Olatunji of Emaljus FC, who led his to third place at the just concluded 2024 1X Bet Cup competition in Lagos has set a higher target for his team ahead of the 2025 edition, Sports247 reports.

In an exclusive session with www.sports247.ng after Emaljus FC won the third place classification against Emiloju FC on Thursday at the Mobolaji Arena, Coach Femi Olatunji reassured their fans of their commitment to back with full energy next year for the trophy.

” Firstly I want to thank God for winning the third place. We are coming next time and we’re coming with full energy which we will do better than this”, Coach Femi told our correspondent.

The coach opened up in the manner in which his boys were perfect in the dispatch of their penalties which gave Emiloju FC goalkeeper no chance and expressed his delight for the three million naira which comes with winning the match.

The Coach said :

“When I talk about losing the semifinals penalty shootout, not only losing the penalty, I’ve also lost three competition on penalty, but i said to myself that, me coming down to this place to play the third-place of this competition 1xbet. I’ve to give everything I have and given everything I had , lucky being on our side and God being on our side, we caught the first penalty and from there we scored all our five penalties and won the third-place with 3 million naira stake for the third place”.

He has a word for his goalkeeper, Saidi Tugbobo who made three points blank saves in the game to deny Emiloju FC and kept Emaljus FC in the game which ended 0-0 at full time.

” I want to thank him. He has been a pillar in our team when it comes to time like this and especially at the quarterfinals. He saved us, which he has also saved us several times in the group stage of this competition”, Coach Femi Olatunji asserts.
