The Local organizing committee, LOC, of the 2033 Victor Ikpeba 5Aside has revealed that the registration for the under 13 has come to a close following the completion of the targeted 8 teams in their maiden appearance.

This was made known by a member of the LOC, Dick Marvel in an interview.
“Among our objectives for the 2023 edition is to expose the much younger category of the under 13 to understand that they are next in the core stage of development in professional soccer”.
Victor Ikpeba the sponsor and winner of the 1997 Africa Footballer of the Year, said he is motivated to do more because during his days opportunities like these are not available.

“I am working hard to put smiles and engage young players to appreciate the game to shape their future away from crimes and youth juveniles”.
The LOC noted that once they meet the target of 24 teams for the under 17 before the December 18th registration closing date, teams will not be accepted as there are just limited slots at the moment.
The 2023 edition of the Victor Ikpeba 5Aside is billed to kick off December 20th to 24th at the Army Estate, Chevron Cooperative high-breed astroturf field, off Effurun/Sapele road before Mercyland Church.
