Super Falcons stand-in captain and goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie is not giving in to their latest exit from the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup as she backs the team to come back better and stronger.

The Paris FC goalkeeper’s heroics in the opening group game against Canada still remains a memorable moment in the heart of many after she saved Christine Sinclair’s penalty to help Nigeria to a goalless draw in their opener.
Super Falcons against all odds made it out of the group games consisting of top-ranked teams unbeaten, amassing five points in three games to set up a round 16 encounter with England.
Following the dramatic penalty shoot-out yesterday where Nigeria lost, the captain, Chiamaka Nnadozie took to her Twitter handle to share her sadness about not going through but backed the team to come back stronger and better.
She wrote, “So sad not to have qualified for the next round, we gave our all. Super proud of this team, we will come back better and stronger. Thank you all for your love and support.”
Randy Waldrum’s ladies’ focus will now be shifted to the Paris 2024 Olympics as well as the CAF Women AFCON games.
