2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup: ‘Now Is The Time To Bring Nigeria’s Hope Alive’, Tonna Oguzie Ofuasia Charges Super Falcons To Make History

Tonna Oguzie Ofuasia, the Immediate Past President of Rotary Club Of Ikeja Alausa has charged the Super Falcons of Nigeria to create hope for Nigeria by creating history ahead of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

Also the CEO at Tonna Hopitality Ltd/Elusive Concepts Ltd, she reckoned that Nigeria women needs hope and that motivation to break milestones and Super Falcons feat at the World Cup will be more than enough inspiration to forge ahead.

In line with the Rotary international theme for this year, ‘creating hope in the world’, Tonnia charged the Super Falcons of Nigeria to remain focused and use the World Cup to create hope for Nigeria and Nigeria women.

According to her, “it is going to be a great World Cup and it is good that Nigeria women team are participating in this World Cup knowing fully well how the event brings so much attention and this is the time for Nigeria ladies to make the rest of the world know that Nigeria remains a great nation and hope is what we keep creating in the world.”

As Nigeria will be facing Canada in the opening game of the event, she stated how charged up she is ahead of the game.

“It is a game I am really looking forward to and some of our members who reside in Canada will be in the middle because they won’t know who to support but for us, we carry the blood of Nigeria and Nigeria’s blood is in us.”

“We are supporting Nigeria. I have seen the group and I know that we have what it takes to qualify from the group stages,” she said assuredly.

“Everyone believes in the team and as we march forward in this rotary year, it is a great theme, go girls, it’s time for us to create hope in the world,” she concluded.
