Chairman of the Delta state Football Association Chief Kenneth Nwaomucha has revealed that winners of the State Football Association Cup will go home with five hundred thousand naria and three hundred thousand naira respectively for the male and female category.
The retired footballer also said there will be other consolation prizes to honour the players.
When asked why the cash prize money was reduced from 700k in (2022) to 500k, he attribute it to the short time and lack of sponsorship.
“Our sponsors could not cope with the short timing of the Nff this year”.
“You may also understand that the election exercise also affected the system “.
chief Nwoamucha also said runners up have cash prize of 300 and 200 thousand.
In the female category, Delta Queens will take on Royal Queens by 1:00pm before giving way for Warri Wolves against Osevan Academy in the male category by 3:00pm on Sunday April 23rd at the Stephen Keshi stadium Asaba.
