President of the Nigeria Authentic Football Supporters Club, Abayomi Ogunjimi has revealed that Super Eagles and the NFF shouldn’t take lightly Cape Verde and other teams in their group so as to avoid a repeat of Angola upset.
This comes after FIFA released the full draw of the Qatar 2022 preliminary group games with Cape Verde, Central Africa Republic, Liberia all in Group C with Nigeria, cautioning the Nigerian team over complacency against the opponents in their group notably, Cape Verde.
” We have to be wary of Cape Verde,this isn’t a walk in the park, when it comes to games like this, no one is an underdog, every team wants to fight to the end and get that World Cup ticket”, Abayomi advised.
” Each games should be taken importantly, we should fight with our best players so as to avoid brutal upset as Angola did to us, we are confident in the boys, the Coach must get it right at all cost”, he ended.
