Members of Lagos Legends Club, a group of ex-footballers who once plied their trades in Lagos, have thrown their massive weights behind the Super Eagles. Speaking on their expectations, they expressed unflinching optimism that Nigeria would triumph and qualify for the World Cup in Qatar.
Taiwo Oloyede, former captain of Stationery Stores Football Club, advised soccer-loving Nigerians to be calm and support the team. He added that the boys are good enough to pick the world cup ticket.
Former Super Eagles winger, Wasiu Ipaye, remarked that the boys are in good hands. As he noted that the experience of Coach Austin Eguavoen, would put the team in good stead to perform well against their Ghanaian counterparts.
On his part, the convener of the LLC, former Super Eagles midfield maestro, Waidi Akanni, stated that all members of LLC, home and diaspora, as well as, the whole of Nigeria, are solidly behind the Super Eagles to perform well and qualify for the World Cup in Qatar.
