The Island Allstar Sports Club Unity Cup is set to return to action this weekend after taking the weekend off to hold its Annual General Meeting.
The AGM which was well attended by all teams in the sports club, saw the passing of vote of confidence for the president, Ikenna Maduagwu as well as members of the executive.
“It’s a new dawn for the club. We welcome the new members who just joined this year and assure them of a great success,” Mr Ikenne told Sports247.
The club is said to be placing attention in having its personal club house as the plan is in motion as well as getting involved with ex-internationals welfare in the country.
“The club is placing focus on CSR in this tenure as well as showing interest in honoring ex-internationals who have served this country and see how they can be part of their life,” Mr Ikenna added.
The league had seen three games played before the break and returns this weekend with bundle of games to increase the pressure on the sides to go for the title.
