Newly inaugurated President of the Island Allstars Club, Ikenna Maduagwu has expressed his happiness and excitement over the ongoing 2022 IASC Unity Cup fiesta as four teams jostle for a golden trophy plus bragging right while also detailing all you need to know about the Island Allstars Club goals, projects.
The president began with appreciation for Sports247.ng Management who have been partners in progress and following the club’s activities right from the point where the leadership was consolidated, the day of election.
Speaking further, Maduagwu posited that the first thing is the need to work, “we are going to work in a hurry to unify this club and to step up whatever we are doing well to the next level.”
“You can agree with me that apart from the fact that we played football, it was a carnival environment, the level of happiness is unquantifiable, that leads to the unity we have worked so hard for in order to unite the club.”
“This tournament is profiled as a tournament of quantum leap, we will lead massively to the next level, come next week Saturday, we will do the official opening ceremony as our sponsors will come officially to unveil,” he explained.
“I’m overwhelmed, I thank the members, team sponsors and most importantly Sports247.ng, I couldn’t ask for so much. Indeed, together we will do great things in Island stars.”
Remarking on the next big project, he stated that by next year, work will begin on a permanent site, “we will commence work on our permanent structure, that’s also one thing that will go a long way in developing the club.”
“For now, let’s concentrate on the Unity Cup. We have our welfare week that we call climaxing on the 5th of November where we have our family picnic at the beach.”
“And then, we will have the Annual General Meeting (AGM) where we will decide on our new facility and lastly, we will have Christmas party and induction,” he concluded.
