D-Sha Ikem YaBas Palace is optimistic that the team still has their hopes alive at the ongoing 2022 IASC Unity Cup despite being winless in two games as he refuses to throw in the towel on their trophy chances following their 1-1 draw against HIQ Auto Center.
Unity Cup powered by Providus Bank recorded another nerve-cracking performance in match day two of the sports fiesta with D-Sha continuing their winless run against HIQ Auto Center in another 1-1 goal scoreline, same result as their opening game, Sports247.ng reports.
Reacting after the game, Ikem admitted the intensity of the game, he said, “today’s game was very tactical, wasn’t an easy one but we are grateful that we came out with a point.”
“They were better in the first half but we came and fought in the second half like soldiers and that gave us the late goal to give us a double edge.”
He briefly spoke about how the tournament is unfolding stating that the sports fiesta is living up to expectations, “the Unity Cup of Island Allstars is a game that has united everyone with people coming from all over the world for this game and I’m happy that we are seeing the great fighting spirit.”
“In games, we expect winners at the end of the day so, at the end of the day, it’s all win-win for us regardless of the team that wins the trophy, all of us are the winners.”
“For D-Sha, we can still win this competition, I know because our players are strong and optimistic,” he boasted.
D-Sha who luckily grabbed a late winner are tasked with winning their next game against JohnMax Properties for any hope of progress.
