Chenedu Denco has dedicated his MVP award to teammates, technical crew following his team 1-1 draw against First Oil Rush at the ongoing 2022 IASC Unity Cup while also lauding the efforts of the organizers and the officiating team for thier fairness.
The two teams shared the spoils in the second game of the tournament as the first game recorded a 1-2 victory between HiQ Auto Centre and John Max Properties as the later won despite thier numerical disadvantage.
Following being crowned the player of the match, Chenedu spoke exclusively to Sports247.ng as he praised his teammates who gave thier all on the pitch and the technical crew who made it possible.
“It’s a good feeling when a team plays and you win the man of the match award, it’s a team effort and so this awards goes to them and the technical crew who made it possible.”
On thier chances of being crowned champions, “I made a promise to my team leader that at the end of this tournament, we will be celebrating with the trophy, I have the courage,” he boldly stated.
“This is our first match, next is the second match, I just hope we get three points to consolidate this first point because that’s so important.”
