2022/23 NLO Division 2: Timely Onyeka Samuel’s Goal Crucial As Vinning United FC Secures Nervy Win Against T.K. Bariga To Keep Play-off Dreams Alive

Onyeka Samuel, Vinning United FC Center forward has revealed his excitement over opening his goal scoring account in the final game of the 2022/23 NLO Division 2 season as they picked all maximum points to keep alive thier playoff dreams against T.K. Bariga.

In three matches where he fired blank, Onyeka finally opened his goal scoring account at a crucial time when the team needed it as they snatched a 2-0 victory against T.K. Bariga to put themselves up for a play-off spot at the Surulere Legacy Pitch today.

Assessing his teams’ performance after the game, he admitted of how late the team picked off despite enjoying majority of the possession in the first half as he was critical of his own wastefulness in front of goal.

“I came into the game very late, I couldn’t find my feet in the first half but in the second half, I stepped up my game and I was able to get the goal after missing some crucial chances for the team.”

“I feel so great to be back into the team after I was away for some games. I feel so excited even more getting the first goal in our 2-0 as we look forward for a top finish.”

“We have done a lot of physical training, ball works, the intensity was high because we knew how crucial this game is for the team if we want to scale through out of the group and we fought to hard to achieve the desired result,” he emphasized.

“We know our play-off fate is depending on the other results later today but we are optimistic of a positive results that will be favorable for us,” Onyeka Samuel concluded.

The results of the final game against Luqui Moly FC and Divine Praise FC will ultimately seal their fate if they will be making it to the play-offs for the very first time.
