Coach Wewe Ademola has praised the discipline of his team to stick to the game plan in the wake of their 2-0 victory against Divine Praise FC to send them top of group A2 in the ongoing 2022/23 NLO Division One.
Two second-half strikes condemned Divine Praise FC to a back-to-back loss following a 1-0 loss against T.K. Bariga with the defeat signalling the end of their unbeaten run.
“I feel great and happy for the win, it’s so surreal because the result has taken up the top of the log,” Wewe said in his post-match pressers with Sports247.ng.
“We had a sluggish start but it was part of the game plan. I have watched them play twice, their game is mainly in the first half, they use all their strength for the game at the beginning so I had to find a way around it.”
“I kept some of my best players on the bench and when I utilized them in the second half, I was able to get the goal to claim the victory,”Wewe Ademola revealed.
With the win, Deluxe FC has now gone top of their group by a goal margin as they will be hoping to maintain the top position when they face Luqui Moly who is also on the same number of points.
