Rivers United Football Club are set to go up against Libya’s El Nasr alongside their Nigerian counterpart Plateau United who will lock horns against Al Akhder who are also from Libya as CAF releases an additional second preliminary round draw for the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup.
The draw which was conducted in Cairo, Egypt on Tuesday will see both Nigerian clubs against a Libyan opponent with former Enyimba captain, Austin Oladapo’s TP Mazembe against Royal AM FC.
The first leg will be played on 2 November, while the second leg is scheduled for 9 November. At stake are 16 places in the group stage of the 2022-2023 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup.
