Exciting times are back again for lovers of the big men’s game, as the 2021 Total Basketball Division One league tips off in Lagos, Saturday, 26th June at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Surulere.
Eleven teams in the Savannah Conference nine-team from the Atlantic Conference will compete for four available slots in the Total sponsored finals.
Preceding the games would be a pre-match technical meeting slated for 8 am, as matches are expected to begin at 10 am.
11 teams in the Savannah conference and 9 teams in the Atlantic Conference will be competing for four available slots in the Total sponsored National finals billed for 7th and 12th July 2021.
Apa Flames (Benue), Kano Pyramid (Kano), Zamfara Shooters (Zamfara), Yobe Desert Warriors (Yobe), AHIP Giants (Kano), and Gombe Jewels (Gombe) will compete in the Savannah Conference.
Other teams in the Savannah Conference include Taraba Hurricanes (Taraba), Golden Touch, Safety Knights, Nile University of Abuja, and Ahmadu Bello University Kings from Zaria.
The Atlantic Conference have Nigerian Air Force Rockets, OS Lions from Osun, Comets (Lagos), Police Bombers (Lagos), Brave Heart, Oilers of Lagos, Chuba Ikpeazu of Anambra, Enugu Coal City Basketball, and Edo Beads from Benin City, who are expected to battle for places in the national finals.
