In an authorized statement concerning the delayed 2020 Amapro Football Championship, organizers have urged all participating teams’ patience while waiting for directives from the Presidential Task Force with the events set to take place at the Kwara State Stadium Complex, Ilorin, Nigeria.
“As rolled out earlier, the plans for the commencement of the tournament is on but it is impossible to start without the go-ahead from the Federal Government and the Kwara FA.”
‘While we are waiting for the directive from the necessary authority, we want to urge every team to step up their preparation for the tournament because the tournament can begin anytime football resumes in the country.”

The championship is meant for academies and clubs who wants to hasten the transition of their players from amateur to professional level (talent identification).
