Ighalo Football Academy of Lagos attacking midfielder, Adebukun Ahmed has declared that he and his teammates are determined to win all their group matches at this year’s 1XBet Cup.

Ahmed fired the bold warning while speaking with sports247.ng after helping his side defeat Young Strikers FC 2-0 on Monday.
Although he confessed that the team wanted to score more goals in the encounter, which was their first group match of this year’s competition, Ahmed conceded that they have to make do with what they got.
He went on to declare that his side’s all-around performance in the match indicated that they are capable of doing better in their remaining games and win them all.
Ahmed stated, “We did well, and we ended the game well. Our plan was to score many goals, but we are happy that we got two and we’ll manage it like that.
“We believe we can do better than this and and we are 100% sure that we are going to win all our group games.”
The excitable youngster then disclosed that his role models are two Spanish international midfielders, Sergio Busquets and Rodri, who have both inspired him to think big.
“Seegio Busquets was my mentor before, but now it’s Rodri. I admire Rodri because he is a kind of disciplined player and a good midfielder.
“Everybody loves to watch him, because he plays good football. I want to be like him, and I see myself travelling out before this year ends. That’s my belief,” Adebukun Ahmed concluded.
