Despite the loss, Next Talented Ballers showcased commendable effort and potential on the field.
Jacob Isaac, a key player and co-founder of Next Talented Ballers FC, reflected on the match.
“Good day. My name is Jacob Isaac. I play right full back for Next Talented Ballers FC. I basically co-founded the team with my friend Korede, who is the captain of the team,” Isaac introduced himself.
When asked about the team’s performance, Isaac shared, “I think we played good, but we had a problem, which has been the issue in the past couple of matches.
Our midfielder wasn’t available at the start and had to come in during the second half. Aside from that, we played perfectly. The goals were not cheap, but things like this happen in football. Overall, we played well and gave a strong performance.”
Isaac also commented on the significance of participating in the 1X Bet Cup. “I wouldn’t say we are sad, but at the same time, we are not happy that we missed the opportunity to showcase ourselves fully.
Before the start of the tournament, we heard about it being a chance to display our skills, not about the money or anything else. We really wanted to go far in the tournament. It’s quite sad that we didn’t achieve what we aimed for, but it’s fine. We’ll go again another time.”
Next Talented Ballers FC, a team formed and managed by its players, has been in existence for just two months.
Despite facing numerous challenges, including lack of sponsorship and training difficulties, the team has shown remarkable resilience and dedication. Their journey in the world of football is just beginning, and they remain optimistic about their future prospects.
The 1X Bet Cup has provided a crucial platform for young talents like Isaac and his teammates to showcase their abilities and gain valuable experience. Although their journey in this year’s tournament has ended, the spirit and determination of Next Talented Ballers FC promise a brighter future ahead.
