The coach of Gunners Link FC, Adefila Kareka has declared that he and his players will intensify their training in order to overcome all imperfection they had in their first group match of this year’s 1X Bet Cup in Lagos.
Although his squad snatched a 2-1 win against Eleven Football Academy and are now second in the group, Coach Adefila reckoned that having to come from a goal down was not good enough by his team.
He is, therefore, projecting on how to do better in their next two matches and told sports247.ng that they will all work harder in order to become perfect.
Adefila started by giving plaudits to the opponents and said, “First of all, I will give respect to Eleven FA. They really tried and they gave us a good run for our money.
“We know that it’s not easy to start small, but it’s a sin to remain small. That’s why we had to fight back and win.
“I knew that my players would definitely fight back. I am happy that, by the grace of God, we had the opportunity to convert our chances.
“We soon led by two goals, and the better side won the game at the end of the day.”
Adefila then projected into their remaining group matches, and though he admitted that winning the cup is their target, he conceded that they would have to take each match at a time.
“I am very excited with this victory, but we still have three games to go in this group.
“We will approach each game as it comes. We are now second on the table, behind El Bethel, who are a better side.
“So, we’ll go back to the drawing board to perfect all our perfections. We will work harder; so that we’ll come out victorious in our subsequent games,” Coach Adefila affirmed.
