Such is the case of the highly rated 18-year-old sensation from the Northern central part of the country who adores Manchester City’s, Reuben Dias.

In an exclusive interview with Sports247.ng, Tijani Yakubu who is functional in two positions on the field of play ( attacking third of the midfield and also as a central defender), the Veteran Football Club player, based in Abuja revealed all there is to know about him and how he got the passion for football
Can we meet you;
My First name is Tijjani Yakubu, I’m 18 years old. A central defender and an attacking midfielder, I play for Veteran Football Club in Abuja.
Why football?
(Hahah) I will say football chose me. It is something that has been in me and I have been so passionate about it right from childhood, I was inspired by players like Christian Ronaldo and Ruben Dias.
Role Model;
My role model in football is someone who I will love to be like in the nearest future and that person is Ruben Dias of Manchester City who plays in the English Premier League presently.
Goals;
Among my goals is to become an accomplished footballer, achieve a great milestone in my football career, make it into a competitive team, perform well in tournaments, earn a scholarship, or eventually play professionally.
And to achieve these goals, I am working tirelessly to improve my skills, physical fitness, tactical awareness, and skill mastery to catch the attention of scouts and seize the opportunities that come my way.
So far, I have won the Premiership Cup with Ombi 2 football club of Nassarawa State, and won a Championship Cup with the same team, I have also won the U-21 goal of the tournament and I hope to accomplish even more in the future.
On his Vision;
My vision includes reaching the pinnacle of my football career which means playing for a top-tier professional club, representing my national team, or competing in prestigious international tournaments. I see myself performing on the grandest stages, showcasing my skills, and making a significant impact in the football world.
Where he sees himself in the next five years;
By the grace of God, with all my hard work I see myself in the higher stage of my football career in the next five years by His grace.
I see myself in Europe’s top 3 leagues that is England, Spain, and Italy as a beautiful player.
