The senior men handball national team known as the Golden Arrows will play against Africa champion Egypt in group A of the Handball event at the 13th African games which will hold in Ghana next month.

In a draw in which was conducted over the weekend ,by the Confederation of Africa Handball (CAHB), the Golden Arrows were paired in group A alongside Egypt, Mali and Togo.
The Golden Arrows are undergoing intensive camping in Lagos ahead of the 13th Africa Games will be Nigeria’s sole representative in the handball event at the Africa Olympics.
Coach Solomon Yola, who is holding fort for head gaffer, Coach Rafiu Salami, has invited twenty six players who have began camping ahead of the Continental games.
The Golden Arrows have finished with third position on the podium of the African Games thrice; in Cairo ’91 Harare ’95 and in Abuja 2023 while they finished in fourth position in Brazzaville 2015.
