Crowned Academy striker, Akindele Ayatu has boasted that he has what it takes to win the highest goal scorer award in the ongoing Ikeja Divisional Football Association Super League.
Ayatu disclosed this after he netted an equalizer for his team to force the NAFRC team to a 1-1 draw in the IDFA Super League.
Ayatu in a chat with sports247.ng said his target is to win the highest goal scorer award of the league at the end of the season.
“I am happy for scoring more than ten goals in this league. I am getting better in each match and I want to score as many as possible and I wish my team to qualify for the top four at the end of the season,” he said.
Ayatu who was a thorn in the flesh of NAFRC in the pulsating tie declared that he has hit his form and was ready to wreak havoc in their subsequent matches.
“I am on top of my game now and I can score any team that comes our way. I have a good outing in the league and like I said before I want to end this league as the highest goal scorer” he added.
Crowned Academy coach, Ayodele Akiko described Ayatu as a serious and determined player who is always hungry for success.
He said Ayatu is a good player who has a future in the round leather game. He however commended his players for their doggedness and fighting spirit exhibited against NAFRC.
